About Nordica Haus & Our Saunas:

  • Nordica Haus is a mobile sauna experience designed to bring the authentic Scandinavian tradition of sauna to the Hood River waterfront. We offer shared sessions, private bookings, and full buyouts in our beautifully crafted space, perfect for relaxation and wellness.

  • We're currently located at the Ferment Lawn on the Hood River waterfront.

  • Our sauna experience distinguishes itself from other successful offerings by providing a truly complete and balanced wellness journey. Unlike competitors, we feature climate-controlled changing and gathering spaces adjacent to our sauna. This thoughtful design allows guests to comfortably transition and socialize, maximizing their allotted time and enhancing their overall enjoyment, regardless of external conditions.

  • DROP electric sauna heater is inspired by the purest element of nature – a drop of water. The sleek and rounded design adds a touch of elegance to any sauna interior.

    In 2015, the DROP was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the DROP electric heater for sauna boasts several outstanding features.

  • Yes, we have a changing area within the sauna unit. We also have an outdoor cold shower and two sauna splash bucket showers. In addition we offer towel service upon request. 

  • Currently, we only offer private sauna sessions. We may expand our services in the future, so stay tuned!

Booking & Sessions:

  • You can easily book a session online through our website: nordicahaus.com click on make a booking and create an account. 

  • We offer 90 minutes, private bookings and full buyouts. 

  • Our sauna can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people per session. Full buyouts up to 8 people per session. 

  • We recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated and towel. Swimsuit or lightweight clothing to wear in the sauna is required. We provide towels.

  • Absolutely! We welcome solo sauna enthusiasts.

  • Cancellations made 48 hours prior to your scheduled session will receive a full refund. Same day cancellations or cancellations made with in 24 hours are non-refundable.

  • Yes, gift certificates are available for purchase on our website.

Health & Safety:

  • Sauna use is generally safe for healthy individuals. However, it's important to consult with your doctor before using a sauna, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, such as heart problems, low or high blood pressure, or are pregnant.

  • Sauna use has been linked to various health benefits, including relaxation, improved circulation, muscle pain relief, and detoxification. However, it's important to remember that sauna is not a substitute for medical treatment.

  • Potential risks include dehydration, overheating, dizziness, and lightheadedness. It's important to stay hydrated, listen to your body, and exit the sauna if you feel uncomfortable.

  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

    • Please be respectful of other guests.

    • No alcohol or drug use is permitted.

    • Proper hygiene is required.

    • Avoid wearing perfumes or strong scents.

    • Listen to your body and take breaks as needed.

    • No loud noises or disruptive behavior.

    • Swimsuits or light clothing are required for shared sessions.
